by isleofman.com 6th January 2011

CURRAGHS Wildlife Park are recycling old Christmas trees.

The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure is once again offering the recycling service to local residents.

Curraghs manager Nick Pinder said: "Christmas tree recycling has grown in to a very popular service. We use some of the trees as enrichment for some of the animals and the remainder are chipped for use on the paths around the park."

The public are asked to leave their trees neatly on the woodchip pile in the bottom corner of the car park.

Mr Pinder continued: "Of course we only take real trees not artificial ones."
