Figures from the Met Office at Ronaldsway show 2010 was a record breaking year for weather in terms of sun, snow and frost.
By the end of December, there had been 1,842 hours of sunshine, which comfortably beat the previous record of 1,810 from 1955.
With the exception of July, all the months had more sunshine than normal in 2010, but it was still the coldest year since 1987, with an average temperature of 9.4 Celsius.
June was the only month with temperatures significantly above average.
The highest temperature, 21.5 Celsius, was recorded on August 15 and the lowest, minus 5.6 Celsius, on December 21.
There were a record breaking 101 days with ground frost, beating the previous record, set in 1979, by ten days.
It snowed on 22 days at Ronaldsway, the fourth highest number on record, but the snow remained on the ground for 19 days during the year, the most since records began.
It was a mixed year for rainfall, with March, July, September and November being wet months. However, there was also a very dry spell in April, May and June.
