Election consultation welcomed

The Manx Labour Party has welcomed the start of a public consultation on possible changes to the Manx electoral system.

Both the Party and the Positive Action Group called for a cap on electoral spending, an end to anonymous backers and the ability to advertise on Manx Radio.

Those have all been included in the proposals, which are out for consultation until January 21.

That's not long, compared to many past ones, but Manx Labour Party member David Cretney MHK thinks he knows why:
