New Year's Day fight outside Douglas chip shop

POLICE are investigating a fight outside Moby Dick's fish and chip shop in the early hours of New Year's Day.

The incident, in Central Promenade, Douglas, happened around 2.20am and involved up to five or six people, both male and female, police said.

Two males and a female were taken to Noble's Hospital suffering facial and limb injuries and were discharged following treatment.

 

Police said there was a large number of people in the area at the time and any witnesses should contact Police Headquarters on 631212 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

 

A male was arrested at the scene and a second male was arrested several hours later.
