Nov 2010: Island battered by extreme weather

by isleofman.com 4th January 2011

THE Island was hit by extreme weather in November.

Record breaking storm force winds on November 11 led to flight and boat cancellations, while sporting and social events throughout the Isle of Man were called off.

Some areas suffered power cuts and there were trees down across the Island.

In Douglas part of the roof of the NSC blew off.

A number of roads were closed due to the weather conditions and members of the public were advised not to travel.
