GUITAR star Davy Knowles appeared at a fundraiser for the Big Wheel Blues Festival during a visit to the Island in November.

The former Port St Mary man, who now lives in America where he has a successful music career, showed he hadn't forgotten his roots by appearing at the event at the Peel Centenary Centre.

Other acts on the bill included Stalking Heads, Juggery Pokery, The Big Wheel Blues Band, the McLeans and The Loose Crew.

In the same month a signature guitar pedal bearing Davy's name was released.

The Davy Knowles Signature Pedal: The Chubb Up! Octave Fuzz, was released by the company Freekish Blues.
