A HONDA TT Legends team will contest the 2011 Endurance World Championship as well as selected international road races including the TT, we reported in November.
John McGuinness, Keith Amor and Steve Plater make up the team - with McGuinness and Amor racing for it at the TT.
Two-time TT winner Steve Plater will concentrate solely on the Endurance World Championship and has been appointed race coordinator.
The initiative has been launched by Honda Motor Europe but will be based at Louth in Lincolnshire - the same operation which controls Honda's British Superbike Championship effort.
McGuinness has won 15 TT races - only the late Joey Dunlop, with 26 victories, has won more.
The Englishman was also the first rider to lap at 130mph on the Mountain Course.
