The Department of Infrastructure is confident there is enough salt and grit left until fresh supplies come in at the start of the new year.
So far this winter around 5,000 tons has been put down on the Island's roads, leaving the department's Operations Division with around 1,600 tons.
Yesterday (Sunday) saw a thaw at lower levels around the Island, with rain helping to clear some of the remaining snow and ice.
