Queen's speech to focus on sport

by isleofman.com 24th December 2010

THE annual Christmas message by Queen Elizabeth II - who is referred to in the Isle of Man as the Queen, Lord of Mann  - will focus on sport.

This year the message was recorded in the Chapel Royal, Hampton Court Palace and it has been produced by ITN.

It is about sport and how it can be used to build communities and create harmony, as well encourage the development of vital social skills.

The message will be transmitted, both on television and radio, at 3pm on Christmas Day and it will also be broadcast on BFBS (British Forces Broadcasting Service).

The Queen’s Christmas Broadcast will also be available on the Royal Channel on YouTube (http://uk.youtube.com/TheRoyalChannel) from 3pm on Christmas Day. An audio visual version will be carried on www.itv.com/itvplayer
