Minister thanks generous benefactor

'It's made Christmas for Ramsey'.

That was the delighted reaction of Health Minister David Anderson, as over a million pounds was handed over to Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital.

The money is a donation from the Martin Estate, and is being used to refurbish a 31-bed inpatient ward.

At a presentation ceremony yesterday (Wednesday) evening, Mr Anderson expressed the thanks of the town:
