Timetable for examining closed roads

by isleofman.com 22nd December 2010

Eight roads which have been closed by snow and ice since the end of last week are to remain out of bounds for motorists until at least tomorrow (Thursday).

Police will consider whether any of them can be reopened in two batches, at 11am and 5pm.

At 11am they will look at the Mountain Road, from Ramsey Hairpin to Creg-ny-Baa; The Brandywell Road, from Brandywell Cottage to the Mountain Road; the Injebreck Road, from Injebreck House to Brandywell Cottage; the Druidale Road from Brandywell Cottage to Ballaugh Glen; and the Tholt-y-Will Road from Sulby Village to the Bungalow.

At 5pm consideration will be given to Crellins Hill and Mona Drive, from its junctions with Victoria Rd and Empress Drive; and the Glenmooar Road, from its junctions with the Poortown Road and the Glenmooar Loop Road.

One further area will be looked at again at 11am on Friday (Christmas Eve), namely the Shoulder Road from Ballakillowey to Ballamodha in Foxdale, and all routes leading up to the Shoulder Road.
