SIR Norman Wisdom died at the age of 95 at the Abbotswood Nursing Home in Ballasalla, we reported in October.
Later in the month around 500 people packed St George's Church, Douglas, for his funeral service while around the same amount of well-wishers gathered outside the church gates in Upper Church Street.
Names from the world of entertainment such as Bradley Walsh, Todd Carty and Lord Grade attended, along with Isle of Man dignitaries including Chief Minister Tony Brown MHK, Lieutenant Governor Vice Admiral Sir Paul Haddacks and Lady Haddacks, Speaker of the House of Keys Steve Rodan, Mayor of Douglas Ritchie McNicholl and Council Leader David Christian.
Earlier thousands of people lined the Douglas Promenades, clapping as Sir Norman's coffin passed on the way to the church.
As the horse drawn carriage carrying Sir Norman's body pulled up outside the church it was saluted by a Standard Bearer.
Sir Norman's famous "gimp" hat sat proudly on his coffin as it was taken into St George's.
The legendary comic actor was the Isle of Man's most famous resident.
He will be remembered for his numerous slapstick film roles as well as his charity work and he was loved by fans young and old.
Sir Norman's Bar at the Sefton Hotel in Douglas is named after him and a statue of Sir Norman sits on a bench outside the front door.
