Energy report was 'value for money'

A report which examines renewable energy options cost the Isle of Man Government just over ?128,000.

The figure was revealed in the House of Keys today by Environment Minister John Shimmin, in reply to a question from Michael MHK David Cannan.

Mr Shimmin said the company which produced the study, AEA, didn't submit the cheapest tender.

however, the one that did failed to fulfill all the requirements, or hand in the required form.

Mr Shimmin said he believed the AEA report represented value for money:
