A Christmas message from Sam Barks

by isleofman.com 25th December 2010

A CHRISTMAS message for isleofman.com readers from singing sensation Sam Barks:

"I would like to wish everyone on the Isle of Man a very happy Christmas.

"I hope you had a great year and here's to an even better 2011.

"It's been so cold this month but hey we might get a white Christmas - fingers crossed!"

Sam has had a productive year landing herself the part of Eponine in the West End musical Les Miserablés.

She performed at the 100th Royal Variety Performance in front of Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall and said the performance was "like a dream".

The 20 year old originally from Laxey shared the bill with Take That and Cheryl Cole among others but admitted it was nerve-wracking.

She tweeted: "Ahhh the royal variety performance is on tv tonight!! Nervous to watch it back! But very excited!"
