by isleofman.com 28th December 2010

AN historic 18th Century property in Castletown was put on the market for £15 million in April.

Lorne House, a former government residence, has eight bedrooms and six living rooms and is set in six acres of land.

Owners Roy and Sue Tilleard put the property up for sale with Chyrstals and the property website findaproperty.com.

They bought the property in 2007 for £2,750.000 from Lorne House Estates Ltd.

It was refurbished in 2008 as private offices with principal owner's accommodation.

Mr Tilleard is also behind the £20 million redevelopment project Callow's Yard.
