A Christmas message from the Chief Constable

by isleofman.com 25th December 2010

A CHRISTMAS message for isleofman.com readers from the Island's Chief Constable Mike Langdon:

"On behalf of the Isle of Man Constabulary I wish readers a Happy Christmas.

"The role of the Constabulary over this period is to ensure that everyone is safe and that we play our part in ensuring the vast majority enjoy the festivities.

"History tells us that there will be a very small minority of people who choose to spoil it for others by driving whilst having consumed alcohol or behaving in an anti-social way.

"Our police officers, special constables and community volunteers will be targeting these types of incidences in a pro-active way.

"Police Officers will be working in the interests of local communities on Christmas Day and the other public holidays and we will do everything we can to ensure that everyone on the Island enjoys the festive period."
