The Christmas picture 30 years in the making

by isleofman.com 20th December 2010

THESE delightful shots of a robin in the snow were captured by isleofman.com reporter and photographer Bill Dale.

Bill, a well known face in Manx journalism, was particularly pleased to take these shots as it is an image he had wanted to capture for a long time.

He explained: "I've taken some lovely shots of robins but never the 'classic' - with snow. Until this weekend that is.

"And, as always, it happened just by chance. I had pulled up at the St Jude's crossroads and this robin just dropped down onto the wall.

"I had the camera on the passenger seat and then wound down the window as quietly as possible and hey presto! It only took me 30 years!"
