Festive trains running at Groudle

by isleofman.com 18th December 2010

The magic of Christmas will be in evidence at Groudle this weekend.

There's a festive treat in store for children and adults alike, with the Santa trains.

Between 11am and 3.30pm today (Saturday) and tomorrow, services will run to the grotto, with passengers visiting Father Christmas and enjoying seasonal refreshments, including mulled wine.

Groudle volunteer Alex Brindley says seeing the children enjoy the experience makes all the work worthwhile (play audio file):

Despite the weather, the Santa trains are running as normal this weekend, with Department of Infrastructure staff gritting the roads to Groudle.
