Weekend sport 'whiteout'

Saturday's main sporting fixtures on the Isle of Man have been wiped out by the freezing weather.

All the senior hockey and football fixtures have been postponed, and the Tyldesley v Vagabonds and Douglas v Ramsey matches in the South Lancashire/Cheshire rugby league are also off.

Manx FA fixtures chairman Tony Mepham says it was an easy decision to call off the football matches:
