DoE defends 'schools open' ruling

The Department of Education and Children has been explaining its decision not to close any of the Island's schools today (Friday).

With a number of bus services cancelled, Manx Radio received hundreds of text messages from parents concerned about getting their children home.

Department spokesman John Gill spoke to Elizabeth Cubbon, towards the end of the afternoon:
