THE emergency services have issued a further update about the poor state of the Island's roads due to the snow.

A police spokesman said all the areas below have problems reported:

Railway Hill, Douglas /top of Summerhill, Onchan/ Mount Havelock, Douglas

Tynwald Mills area, St John's

Quaterbridge Road, Douglas

The road between Whitestone Roundabout, Douglas Road, Ballasalla through to Cooil Road is effectively closed apart from access mainly due to Richmond Hill now being closed in both directions again due to snow.

A police spokesman said: "Problems are being experienced over many areas, I cannot stress enough if you don't need to be driving stay inside."

Poortown Road in the west is also described as "bad" as is Crogga at Santon on the Old Castletown Road.
