Gritters busy in the night

by isleofman.com 17th December 2010

Department of Infrastructure gritters have been working on the Island's major roads.

Six crews were busy during the night, keeping the main routes clear for the morning rush hour.

So far efforts have been concentrated on the south, where there has been most snow.

Crews are changing about now (8am), so a fresh batch of gritters will face the anticipated snowfalls later in the day.

Weathermen say the south and west will again bear the brunt.
