THERE was a new look for a number petrol stations around the Island after a local firm took over seven Shell stations in January.
Manx Petroleum took over the running of the Island's Shell stations after being the sole distributor for Shell oil since 1954.
Following a decision by Shell to restructure its operations worldwide Manx Petroleum took over the retail of fuel. It also provided new contracts for the supply of petrol and diesel for many of the owners of the service stations.
David Kay, sales and marketing manager, said: "We are very excited about the future. This is very good news for the Island's consumers and retailers and a very exciting time for Manx Petroleum as we upgrade and secure the future of petrol and diesel in the Island.
"Security and stability of quality products and service are the prime objectives for residents in the Island under the strong focus of the Manx team here in the Island."
The garages were all re-branded in Manx Petroleum's red and white design.
