June 2010: Bay Festival a success attracting 30,000 festival-goers

ORGANISERS of the 2010 Manx Telecom Bay Festival, which was held in June, said it will definitely return in 2011.

 

The three day festival held in Noble's Park attracted around 30,000 people.

 

Festival goers were treated to a wide selection of music and acts who performed in the massive Valhalla Tent.

 

Acts including JLS, The Saturdays, Calvin Harris, The Feeling and Spandau Ballet performed to packed out audiences.

 

There was also a Britain's Got Talent meets X Factor event which proved a massive hit with families. 

 

Closing the weekend was a host of 80's popstars including Spandu Ballet, Boy George, Belinda Carlisle and Rick Astley.

 

Organisers said the festival would definitely return but with a different feel for 2011.
