THREE top crime writers gave local writers an insight into their work at a special crime writing event held at the Erin Arts Centre in April.
Stuart MacBride, Allan Guthrie, and Donna Moore appeared at the Mannslaughter and Mayhem event in front of a number of young crime writers who had been shortlisted in a competition organised by the Crime Writers' Association.
Alison Ogden was the Isle of Man winner for her story Dead End and Michelle Nouvellie was highly commended for her story The Black Widow.
The event was organised by crime writer Chris Ewen who lives in West Baldwin. He said: "Mannslaughter and Mayhem was a real success and I'd like to thank everyone involved in the event.
"Stuart MacBride, Allan Guthrie and Donna Moore entertained us all with lively chat, wonderful humour and some fascinating insights into the business of writing about crime – and getting away with it too.
"Hopefully this is the first of many future crime fiction events in the Isle of Man."
The three writers were interviewed on stage by Bob Harrison from Manx Radio. They also signed copies of their books.
