Top TT doctors will not be involved with 2011 event

by isleofman.com 13th December 2010

THE two doctors responsible for organising and running the medical services at this year's TT will not be involved in next year's event.

Chief Medical Officer Dr Heike Romer and Medical Director Dr David Stevens have said they will not be involved with medical services for TT 2011 but will continue their association with the 2011 Manx Grand Prix.

A statement said any queries regarding the medical services arrangements for TT 2011 should be made to the secretary of the meeting, Michelle Haynes, at ACU House in Rugby.

Dr Stevens has a long association with the TT and is a well known figure.

He was awarded the MBE in the 2003 Queen's Birthday Honours for services to motor sport medicine in the Isle of Man.

isleofman.com will be contacting Dr Stevens and the ACU for further comment.
