The 15th British Irish Council Summit takes place in the Isle of Man today (Monday).
Security around the Sefton Hotel is tight, with the Island playing host to some high profile politicians from the United Kingdom, the Irish Republic, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Jersey and Guernsey.
The Council was established in 1999 under the terms of the Good Friday agreement and members take it in turn to host meetings.
Delegates will discuss a wide range of issues, including the global economic outlook and progress being achieved in relation to digital inclusion, a work stream which is being led by the Isle of Man.
It's the second time the summit has been hosted by the Isle of Man, and Chief Minister Tony Brown believes it's well worthwhile:
