Highly acclaimed guitarists to return to Isle of Man

TWO world class acoustic guitarists will be heading back to the Isle of Man next year.

 

Clive Carroll - described by Acoustic Guitar magazine as  "probably the best and most original young acoustic guitar player and composer in Britain" will be performing in the Villa Arcade, Douglas, on March 26 2011.

 

Clive has toured extensively with Tommy Emmanuel and John Renbourn and he also plays regularly with Martin Taylor, Gordon Giltrap and John Etheridge as "Four Parts Guitar".

 

His last visit to the Island was to perform at the Isle of Man GuitarFest in August 2008.

 

Also on the bill with Clive is Amrit Sond, a Grammy award-winning world music guitarist and composer with an eclectic style of playing.

 

The performance in March will be his third visit to the Island having played as part of the Acoustic Madness event in 2007 and at the Isle of Man GuitarFest in 2009.

The event has been organised by JonnoPromotions and is supported by the Isle of Man Arts Council.
