Traffic congestion after four-vehicle accident

by isleofman.com 10th December 2010

The road between Spring Valley Roundabout and the Oatlands Road in Santon has reopened, following a four-vehicle accident this afternoon (Friday).

It happened around 2pm and involved two heavy goods vehicles, a van and a car.

It's understood one of the lorry drivers suffered leg injuries and had to be freed from his vehicle by firemen.

Another driver who was slightly injured was allowed to leave the scene.

The road closure led to some severe congestion earlier this evening as rush hour traffic started to build up, but the road was open again just after 5pm.
