Isle of Man Wind Orchestra "on fine form" for Christmas concert

by isleofman.com 12th December 2010

THE Isle of Man Wind Orchestra will be in full strength for this year's Christmas concert at All Saints Church in Douglas.

Around 40 musicians will be taking part playing a range of wind, brass, and percussion instruments.

The concert will be full of Christmas classics and will include a sing along.

Musical director Paul Dunderdale said: "The orchestra is in fine form at the moment. At the end of October we were invited to perform at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. Some of the music we performed will also be included in the concert in addition to plenty of Christmas atmosphere."

The concert takes place on Saturday, December 18, at 8pm. Admission is £5 for adults and £3 for children which is payable on the door.

Some of the proceeds will be donated to the Orchestra's chosen charity which is the Alzheimer's Society.
