Marine heritage centre plans on show

by isleofman.com 8th December 2010

Proposals for regeneration in the south of the Island go on display in Port St Mary this evening (Wednesday).

They include an ambitious project to create a marine heritage centre with an aquarium in the village.

The south west regeneration committee has engaged consultants to research options to reinvigorate town and village communities in the south, over the past year.

Members of the public are invited to an exhibition outlining a variety of proposals, at Port St Mary town hall.

It will be open from 6.30 to 8pm today, and from 10am to 4pm from Saturday until next Wednesday (December 15).

The exhibition will move to Port Erin railway station next weekend.
