Traders to pay more at TT 2011

It's been confirmed the sum charged for pitches at the Grandstand will be going up for TT 2011, to keep pace with the rising costs of staging the event.

In the House of Keys today (Tuesday), North Douglas MHK John Houghton said he was concerned costs for traders may go up by as much as 20 per cent.

Minister for Economic Development Allan Bell said government aimed to maximise income from the TT, but the decision on the cost of pitches was taken by the promotor of the Grandstand trading area:
