Gaffes from chamber will benefit charity

by isleofman.com 7th December 2010

The daft things sports commentators often say have become known over the years as ColemanBalls – now get ready for TynwaldBalls!

The first ever collection of quotes and gaffes from the Manx parliament will be officially launched tomorrow (Wednesday).

Rushen MHKs Juan Watterson and Quintin Gill are the men behind the charity publication (play audio file):

TynwaldBalls will be launched in the Barool Suite at the Legislative Buildings in Douglas from 12.30pm tomorrow.

Proceeds will go to the Southern Befrienders charity.

The caption beneath the drawing on the cover reads: 'This is another white elephant that has come home to roost'.
