There's a presentation this evening (Monday) on the future of renewable energy in the Isle of Man.
It will be given by Mark Johnson, the project manager for a study recently carried out by AEA, a leading sustainability consultancy firm in the United Kingdom.
His findings will be used to help guide future Tynwald decisions on renewable energy.
They centre on the possibility of using biomass or woodburning technologies, rather than renewable energies such as wave or tidal power, which he believes aren't yet sophisticated or cost effective enough for the Island's needs.
Mr Johnson says all possibilities must be considered (play audio file):
This evening's presentation is at the Manx Museum, from 7pm.
