JUAN Turner MLC will ask a series of questions in the Legislative Council tomorrow (Tuesday).
He is the only MLC to have tabled any questions for this week's sitting of LegCo.
Mr Turner will ask a member of the Department of Infrastructure what the minimum number of sailings - to ports in the North West of England - the Steam Packet is obliged to provide under the terms of the linkspan user agreement.
He also wants to know in the past year how many sailings it has provided over and above the minimum number, to which ports and how many of them were outside the TT fortnight.
Mr Turner will then turn his attention to air travel. He will ask a Treasury member whether air passengers travelling to the Isle of Man from beyond the UK can opt to go through customs clearance in the Isle of Man rather than at the UK airport through which they pass.
He has also tabled questions which relate to the Motor Sport Group of the Department of Economic Development and the police's involvement with it.
They relate to how many police officers are seconded to the group, their ranks and from which budget their salaries are paid.
He also aims to find out how many retired police officers are involved and the qualifications held by people in the group.
Finally he will ask what provisions race organisers have to comply with in order to apply for a road closing order under the Road Races Act and what powers the Motor Sport Group has under the act.
