Fire crews have battled for two hours to bring a severe fire in an oil tank in Ballaugh under control.
The blaze had spread to the nearby property, taking hold of the kitchen, a utility room and the roof.
The occupier escaped from the house before crews arrived and wasn't hurt.
Two appliances from Kirk Michael fire station and one from Ramsey were called to Ballaterson Fields in Ballaugh at just after 2pm on Saturday.
The fire in the oil tank at the rear of the house was so severe it had spread to the property and engulfed 20 metres of garden hedge, setting fire to a number of items in the garden.
Crews used breathing apparatus, water jets, foam and thermal imaging cameras to tackle the blaze - ladders and hand tools were also pressed into use.
An investigation into the cause is underway.
