Weather affects Christmas shopping

Retailers in the Isle of Man are keeping fingers crossed shoppers are not deterred by further bad weather in the three weekends before Christmas.

Lingering snow and ice has hit cash tills at retail centres around the Island, with many people staying away during the worst of the weather.

Bosses at Tynwald Mills in St John's have used private contractors to clear the roads leading to the retail area.
