The Mountain Road was closed to traffic after an accident in bad weather late this afternoon (Friday).
The Emergency Services Joint Control Room said the situation would be reviewed at 7pm, but in the meantime the closure remained in force, between Creg-ny-Baa and Ramsey Hairpin.
One person was injured in the incident, which involved a single vehicle, but they are not thought to be seriously hurt.
Elsewhere, there were problems near the Braaid crossroads in the south of the Island, where several cars had their tyres punctured.
It's thought to have been as a result of debris left on the road surface following roadworks.
Reports said the problem was near the Chibbanagh plantation.
