THE 5-day weather forecast issued by the Met Office at Ronaldsway suggests that there may be slight falls of snow on high ground but at lunchtime today there were signs that heavier snow might be on the cards.

Snow was falling at 12.53pm in and around Douglas today and the continuing freezing conditions meant it was sticking. The forecast for the weekend suggests the possibility of "further wintry showers".

The Met Office forecast until Tuesday is as follows:-

Wind:  West or NW 05-10, setting North to NW 10-15 later.
