Carol concerts with a difference!

by isleofman.com 2nd December 2010

The Island's mighty Wurlitzer organ can be heard in a slightly different setting over the next three Wednesday lunchtimes.

It will feature in a series of carol concerts in the Villa Marina arcade, between 1pm and 2pm

They is no admission charge, but a charity collection will take place at the end of each session.

The concerts have been organised by Jonathan King, with support form the Isle of Man Arts Council.

He says the idea came about some time ago, after he was first invited to play the instrument (play audio file):

The Wurlitzer carol concerts are on December 8, 15 and 22 and on each of those Wednesdays some special guest artists will also be performing.

Wurlitzer supremo Len Rawle will be appearing on the evening of December 15.
