A LOCAL freight company have celebrated their 25th year in business by supporting Hospice Isle of Man.
Manx Independent Carriers started business on November 4, 1985, with three employees. They now have around 110 staff split between their Isle of Man and UK depots.
The company held a fundraising day to mark their milestone year.
John Quaye, managing director, said: "Throughout the day we asked for donations for our favourite charity and were delighted to raise £157.50 which we matched and presented to Hospice Isle of Man in the amount of £315."
Manx Independent Carriers ships up to 40 trailers per day with the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company and carry up to 3,500 deliveries each day with more at peak times including Christmas.
