Volunteers needed to take on the role of CYG mascot

by isleofman.com 2nd December 2010

WITH just 300 days to go before the Commonwealth Youth Games the hunt is on to find volunteers to take on the role of official mascot Tosha.

The mascot will have a busy diary during the week of the Games meeting visitors, visiting all sports venues, and keeping the competitors and spectators entertained.

The Commonwealth Youth Games organising committee need a pool of 20 volunteers aged 18 and over who are in good physical health and who are willing to dress up in the costume and bring Tosha to life.

To date all 71 nations of the Commonwealth have indicated that they will be sending competitors to the event which takes place between September 7 and September 13.

Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer should visit www.cyg2011.com and fill in the online application form. Alternatively call 01624 662011.
