Mountain Road open, but five others still closed

by isleofman.com 1st December 2010

The gritters have been out again this morning (Wednesday).

It’s bitterly cold as temperatures have dropped overnight, but the Mountain Road is open.

However, the Archallagan Road from the junction of the Hope to Eairy Kelly; the Beinn-y-Phott Road, Tholt-y-Will Road, and the Lhergy Cripperty and East Baldwin roads remain closed.

Motorists are again advised to drive according to the conditions and be aware there are still icy patches in places.

The vast majority of bus services on the Island are running as scheduled, with a handful of changes on routes in the south.

But there are no flights to and from Gatwick airport, as all the runways there are closed.
