THE Steam Packet Company are making arrangements to provide extra ferry services after snow forced the closure of Ronaldsway Airport.
Extra crew are being made available to enable the company to increase passenger capacity beyond normal winter levels.
Chief executive Mark Woodward said: "The weather has once again conspired to create problems for passengers travelling to and from the Island. With Ronaldsway closed, the number of passengers wishing to travel with us has increased considerably.
"The Steam Packet Company is committed to fulfilling its role as the Island's provider of lifeline ferry services. In order to keep the Island's travelling public moving we are making arrangements to provide more capacity than would normally be the case at this time of year"
