THE main road to Castletown has been closed until further notice due to compacted ice on the road.

The road is closed from the junction at the Whitestone Pub in Ballasalla through to the airport, which is currently closed, and to the roundabout at Victoria Road primary school.

Shore Road, Gansey, was also closed earlier today and will not be re-opened until at least 7pm.
