Snow shuts down Island

by isleofman.com 28th November 2010

SNOWFALL overnight has shut down much of the Island.

The Mountain Road between the Ramsey Hairpin and The Creg has been closed until further notice. A full assessment of the road will be carried out later this afternoon.

The Lhergy Cripperty, East Baldwin, Tholt-y-Will, Druidale and Beinn-y-Phott Roads were all shut earlier this morning.

Curraghs Wildlife Park has been closed which also results in the cancellation of the Young Friends meeting scheduled to take place.

All bus services were suspended until further notice just before 9am.

An update is expected around midday.
