Buses hit by weather, Mountain Road reopens

by isleofman.com 27th November 2010

The wintry weather is still causing problems for some of the Island's bus services.

The following services have been suspended:

Willaston Estate (buses will serve Johnny Wattersons Lane only).

Lakeside Rd in Governors Hill (buses will serve Hailwood Ave only through Governors Hill).

Marathon Drive and Lower Dukes Rd.

Ballaughton Manor Hill and Vicarage Rd is now running as a normal 21A route.

Hazel & Heather Crescents, Pulrose.

Route 4 to Foxdale will now run as a route 5 to St Johns via the main Peel Rd only.

Service 8 is operating only from Port Erin to the Airport

Route 9 is cancelled

Route 7 (Peel to Niarbyl) is cancelled

The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure says a further update will be issued at 2pm.

Meanwhile, the Mountain Road reopened just after midday, but there's a warning you should drive within the conditions of the road.

The Druidale Road, from Brandywell Cottage to Ballaugh, is closed until further notice.
