A Super Twin race has been introduced for next year's Manx Grand Prix Festival race programme.
Regulations for other races have been revised and some of the classic events have been renamed.
Other changes include the limiting of the number of starters for each race to 90 with competitors starting on their own, as in the TT, rather than in pairs.
Sports editor Tim Glover looks at other alterations to the programme (text, below, from attached audio file):
Riders entering multiple classic races will be given an entry fee discount which is designed to boost the numbers taking part.
The criteria for the awarding of replicas has been relaxed so that a TT competitor winning by a large margin won't exclude as many of the club racers behind from picking up a prize.
And past winners of the Senior and Junior races will be allowed to compete at the MGP as long as they haven't started at a TT in the previous two years, or received a TT replica in the past four years.
So this year's Senior winner Si Fulton and Junior victor Michael Sweeney would be able to stay at this level rather than being automatically excluded.
