Big freeze hits sport

by isleofman.com 26th November 2010

The National Sports Centre synthetic pitch is closed this evening (Friday) due to a heavy build-up of ice on the surface.

A decision about Saturday's hockey at the venue will be made tomorrow morning.

The pitches at Castletown, Peel and Ramsey are open as normal.

The following football matches, scheduled for tomorrow, have been postponed because of frozen pitches:

Division Two

Police v Braddan; Pulrose v Douglas & District.

Combination One

St. Mary's v Castletown
