The Mountain Road reopened to traffic at around 2.15pm today (Friday).
It was closed by police just before 6am, following overnight falls of snow.
The reopening was originally expected at about 4pm, but conditions improved sooner than expected.
Roads are still trecherous all over the Island, and motorists are being advised to take extra care.
